Antiques Road Trip / Celebrity Antiques Road Trip
The longest-running series across the entire STV Studios family, Antiques Road Trip was launched in 2010 and has since become a much-loved staple of BBC One's daytime schedule. Narrated by Tim Wonnacott and produced by STV Studios Factual in Glasgow, the series sees two antiques experts given a week's budget of £1,500 each to travel across the country - in a fabulous classic car - and buy antiques and collectibles that are then sold at auction. Whoever makes the greater profit at the end of the week is named the winner.
Antiques Road Trip started its journey on BBC Two, but the show had grown so much in popularity by 2013 that it was moved to the BBC's flagship channel. A primetime spin-off series featuring celebrity contestants, Celebrity Antiques Road Trip, was launched in 2011. International sales of the series have been strong and it has amassed a dedicated global fanbase - particularly in the United States, where episodes air on PBS.
